I have a great recipe for you.  I just bought a basket of sweet banana peppers at Van Pelt’s Farm Market, 1176 Fairfield School Rd.,  Columbiana, Ohio 44408.  Their phone number is 330.482.0435.   When I saw this recipe I knew it was the perfect way to use some of my peppers.  I did tweak the original recipe.  I hope you enjoy these as much as we did.Buffalo Chicken Banana Peppers

3 whole chicken breasts (preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place breasts on a parchment paper cookie sheet. Roast for 60 to 65 minutes. Remove skin from Chicken. Shred and use 1 1/2 Cups of the baked chicken for this recipe)
12 Banana Peppers, halved and seeded
8 oz. package of cream cheese (room temperature)
2 Cups shredded provolone cheese (available at your local meat market)
1/4 cup of Walnut Creek Hot Sauce (available at your local butcher shop)

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a rimmed baking sheet with Parchment Paper.

In a medium bowl stir together chicken, cream cheese, 1 1/2 Cups of provolone cheese and Hot Sauce. Spoon mixture into Banana Pepper halves. Bake for 15 minutes on a center rack in the oven. Keep Pepper on the center rack. Turn off the oven. Put the additional Provolone cheese over the pepper halves. Turn the oven on broil. Broil for an additional 5 minutes. Remember to keep the pan on a center rack. If desired garnish with additional hot sauce.

The Butcher really liked this and he doesn’t do hot!
