Pork

We make our own sausage every week. We have Mild Italian, Hot Italian, country-style and our signature, Hungarian Garlic Sausage. Call in your order for sausage so you will have just what you want. We custom cut all of our pork to your specifications.

Beef

ShermanProvision is BEEF! We specialize in high-quality aged Amish country raised beef! Our beef is slaughtered fresh and we have all your favorite cuts of meat. We have front and hind quarters available along with sides of beef for your freezer.

Poultry

Poultry is a big part of the selection in our meat cases at Sherman Provision. We have whole fryers, roasters, chicken breasts, (bone-in and boneless-skinless), chicken legs, wings, chicken gizzards, and chicken livers. We also have frozen duck available.

Farmers Market Thursday at Sherman Provision

The Farmers Market will once again be in the Sherman Provision parking lot from 3:30 to 6:30 Thursday afternoon.  We have some wonderful vendors.  We have a man from Wadsworth who makes exquisite jewelry.  I would love to get one of his creations.  Someone remind the Butcher that the Butcher’s wife’s birthday is this month.  Also, Bobbi is there every week with her lotions, soaps, and lip balms.  This is a great way to get some of your Christmas shopping done,…

Good Friends–Good Food

We had a very nice surprise last week.  Our good friends, Dave and Deone flew in from Minnesota.  They drove to Niagra Falls, and then came back to Ohio on Saturday  They spent Saturday and Sunday with us.  They returned to Minneapolis on Monday.  I had planned on grilling out on Saturday night, but Mother Nature was not very cooperative.  I decided to cook a beef roast instead.  I used a frozen rump roast that weighed just over 7 pounds. …

Prime Rib Roast

I had a customer in today that bought an absolutely beautiful rib roast to cook slowly in his oven.  We were discussing different seasoning.  He told me he puts seasoning on the roast and then seals it in with a paste made of Kosher salt and water.  He cooks it in an oven at 225 degrees until it is done.
