Thanksgiving is right around the corner.  I know we are getting ready for the big Turkey Day; however, I told one Mauri-1of my readers that I would post this chicken recipe.  I like this dinner because of the simplicity.  It calls for ingredients that you will have around your house.  If for some reason you don’t have fresh garlic–use granulated garlic and keep going.  I made extra so we had leftovers.  The gentle garlic and sweet brown sugar made a fabulous chicken salad and another night we had barbecued chicken.  The flavors are not overwhelming and can easily be integrated into another recipe.

You can substitute Boneless Pork chops for variety.  Hope you Enjoy!

4 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breastsphoto (51)
4 Garlic Cloves, minced
4 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
1 Tablespoon Olive Oil

Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Line a baking dish or cookie sheet with aluminum foil and lightly coat with cooking

In a small saute pan, saute garlic in the Olive Oil until tender. This should be done over medium heat.

Remove from heat and stir in the brown sugar.

Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish and spoon the garlic/brown sugar mixture over the top.photo (50)

Place in the oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until juices run clear. Cooking time will depend on the size and thickness of the chicken breasts.

Have a great day. Until next time…From our Butcher Block to your Table.
