Sometimes you just need to use good products to cut the time it takes to make a family favorite. One of the Butcher’s absolute favorite meals is
spaghetti. I decided to make him spaghetti and meatballs for dinner yesterday. I decided at about 4:00 and I knew we would want to eat by 6:30. No problem. I got home at 5:15 and we were eating by 6:30. I did take some shortcuts. I used great products and the results were just as good as if I had slaved over the pot of spaghetti for a day. Stop in the meat market and we will set you up with everything you need to make this dinner.
Spaghetti and Meatballs
2 pounds of extra lean ground beef
1 checkerboard seasoning packet for meatballs
2 jars of World Classic’s Marinara Sauce
1 Box of Angel Hair Pasta (or cooked spaghetti squash or pasta of your choice)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix 2 pounds of extra lean ground beef with seasoning packet and 1/2 cup of water. Mix well and form into meatballs. Put the formed meatballs on a cookie sheet and bake in the oven for 35 minutes. Pour the 2 jars of Marinara Sauce into a large roaster pan and simmer on the stove. When the meatballs have finished baking, add them to the roaster pan and mix them into the Marinara sauce.
Cook pasta according to the package directions. Drain the pasta and serve with the sauce and meatballs. You can also top with grated Parmesan cheese. This will be a hit and having spaghetti doesn’t have to be such a monumental decision. You will have leftovers. This freezes well or is a great idea for a large family feast.
Until next time…From our Butcher Block to your Table.
