The fall season is upon us. At Sherman Provision that means one thing, an increase in
the number of seasoned pigs going out into the community for the many fall pig roasts. Even though we have pigs available all year for roasting, there is something about that crisp fall air that makes it so inviting to get friends together, get the fire going, and have a pig roast. Don’t forget to order some of Sherman Provision sausage that Michael O’Brodo makes fresh every week. We have Hungarian Garlic, Sweet Italian, Hot Italian, and Country Style. We also have a large assortment of fresh chicken, and will be glad to cut them in halves or quarters at no additional charge. Chicken is also a great option at a pig roast. Be sure to call ahead at 330.825.2711 to order your pig. We recommend a week’s notice so we can have your pig ready for you.
Many of the local schools contact Sherman Provision to order a pig for a pig roast. This is usually just before a big rivalry, or homecoming game. Whether you are planning a wedding, graduation party, reunion, or a rehearsal dinner, a pig roast is always appropriate. At Sherman Provision we have been getting pigs ready for these events for over 50 years. Michael has his own special seasoning that he will rub on the pig at no additional charge. A pig roast doesn’t have to be a lot of work. You can rent a spit from Norton Tool Rental, 2824 Barber Rd., Norton, Ohio (330)745-7845 if you want to roast the pig yourself. We also have several people we can recommend to roast the pig on location. You can decide your level of involvement. Whether you cook the pig yourself, or you have someone experienced do the cooking, we can guarantee you that you are going to have a lot of fun.
