It’s chilly, and you want to eat “stick to your ribs” meals but you don’t want to spend all of your time in the kitchen. The answer is a slow cooker. The slow cooker will do all the work and blend the flavors in a way that you aren’t able to do. I hope you enjoy this recipe for pork tenderloin
in your slow cooker.
Balsamic Brown Sugar Pork Tenderloin
-
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
-
1/2 cup low sodium chicken broth
-
2 tbsp soy sauce
-
3 tbsp brown sugar (or honey/maple syrup or Stevia for low carb)
-
1/2 tsp cumin
-
1/2 tsp garlic powder (or granulated garlic)
-
1/4 tsp chili powder (or more to taste)
- Combine the vinegar, chicken broth, and soy sauce.
- Combine the brown sugar, cumin, garlic powder, chili powder.
- Rub the pork with the brown sugar mixture and place in the slow cooker. Pour vinegar mixture over top.

- Cook on low for 6-8 hours until very tender.
- If desired top with balsamic glaze or reduce the cooking liquid to create your own glaze.
Applesauce, baked sweet potatoes and a salad would be a good compliment to this meal.
